After carefully considering the envelope of this typical Park Slope row house, WORKSTEAD designed a series of highly tailored elements that open up the interior to the exterior. A new window wall, made of steel and glass, is being added to connect the kitchen and dining areas to the courtyard beyond. On the top level, a steel ladder leading to an operable skylight above also serves as a frame for the bookshelf beyond.
